It is good to be reminded about what you already believe!

A few weeks ago I made a grand statement that I would write a blog every day, but, it did not happen. For some strange reason I made this passionate declaration a few days before I knew my friends were coming over from abroad in order to spend some time with me and so I would not get much time at the computer.

Over the past few weeks I have been to Berlin, to Liverpool, Manchester and Blackpool. I have seen some incredible sites, I have met some amazing people, I have ate heaps and I have learnt even more. I have had so much fun, even whilst holding down my day job!

The sites, the smells, the people, the laughter and the fun reminded me that there is a whole world out there. I was reminded that there are new things to learn, new dreams to chance and new friendships to make. I really was reminded about something that I am so passionate about – that we live life once and so, I had made a concrete decision to do more living and, to chase my wildest dreams so, stay tuned.

However, it is now 11pm, I am staying in some crazy guest house (that reminds me of Fawlty Towers) in Shepherd’s Bush, London as I am covering the launch of the Gumball Rally in Covent Garden, across social media tomorrow.

Now it is time for me to sleep but I fall asleep with a new energy inside me and fresh reminded that life is so precious and so awesome and so we should go out and live it!

Never ceased to be inspired by 3Run.

I have previously blogged about 3Run, a bunch of lads who have trained in the art of freerunning to such perfection that it has landed them on TV shows, live stunt shows, music videos and trips around the world. I am never ceased to be amazed by these guys and, they have gone and done it again.

In all honesty, sometimes I check out the website and twitter for these guys and feel a twinge of jealousy. From a very young age they knew what they wanted, they trained their bodies and mind, with nothing but pure discipline, knowing what it needed in order to take them to the very top. They built a strong team of support, within each other, inspiring one another, teaching one another and providing that all important foundation to take each other to the next level. I really wish that, at such a young age, I knew what I wanted, what my goal was and did not waiver from achieving it.

Along the way, and, not by default, these guys have become entrepreneurs. They have trained in a skill, they have perfected it, they have built a goal, a mission and they have invested in order to get there. Now, with 15 World Records behind them, a YouTube view count of 30million they are launching the UK’s first freerun live show, which will undoubtedly take them to the next level.

One of the things I love about these guys is that they dream big, but start small, they build towards each little step, in order to make the bigger vision happen. Clearly, the free run live show, is a smaller step in an even bigger vision.

I am looking to see what happens with the free run live show and I will keep you updated!

Where are the big brand social media ideas?
Tech tipsComputer Tricks

I currently spend my days managing social media accounts for some pretty decent UK brands. Alongside managing their twitter and facebook accounts I seek to deliver the best social media concepts that I can, in order to make their brands known.

Nevertheless, recently, I have been wondering where the big brand social media ideas are. There have been a handful of big social media ideas that have stood out over time including: Best Job in the world and it’s follow up Million Dollar Memo there have been the classic and viral Old Spice adverts which gained over 30million views on YouTube. Another successful advert was the t-mobile adverts, their flash-dance advert gaining 28million hits.  But, where are the current big social media ideas?

If you know of any, please let me know. As someone who works in social media, with the aim of making brands famous online, I am constantly challenging myself to come up with the best and the biggest ideas and one of the ways of gaining these ideas, of finding inspiration, is by looking at what is currently out there. I am looking, but, I am not seeing.

If there are any particular brand viral / big social media ideas that are getting you going right now, please do let me know of them!
