The story goes that all Ellen De Generes wanted for her birthday was a lock of Justin Bieber’s hair, a wish which she was granted. Having received the golden lock Ellen the auctioned off the lock of hair to raise money for The Gentle Barn Foundation.
Bieber’s hair was hovering at $18,000 and then, literally in the final seconds it shot up to $40,668 – I wonder if we will find out who the ‘luck’ winner is!
Over the past 24 hours the Ellen Show, in the USA, has had an auction live on e-bay as they auction of a lock of Justin Bieber’s hair with all proceeds going to an animal rescue charity. Now, with millions of Bieber fans around the world you would expect there to be a flurry of activity and bids. Well, there has been a flurry of activity 85 bids currently being placed with the amount standing at $15,200.
However, what interest me more is that there has been an equal hive of activity from a growing segment of the entrepreneurial world, those who I have called, Bieberpreneurs! You will see from the image above that budding entrepreneurs have cottoned on to the fact that thousands of people will be placing ‘Bieber hair’ as a search term into ebay and, when you do, you realise that these entrepreneurs have capitalised on this very fact.
